Dehydrated skin is a temporary condition that can happen at any given time, meaning that your skin needs water. We could compare it to feeling thirsty or feeling hungry. Dry skin needs to be nourished, whereas dehydrated skin needs to "drink" , but it doesn’t mean that it lacks nutrients.

If you are looking to create a skincare routine that caters to your personal skin concerns and needs, you will need to create a beauty routine that includes cleansing and moisturizing. Depending on your skin’s concern, the type of products and their ingredients will vary: dry skin would most likely require non water-based products that are high in oils and butters, whereas a dehydrated skin is telling you that you should drink more water! On the other hand, if you have oily skin, avoid heavy oils that have a tendency to clog pores and opt for a moisturizer that contains non-comedogenic butters.

Keep in mind that your body naturally has sebaceous glands and that is important to work in harmony with its natural functioning. We recommend that you stray away from any cleanser that claims to get rid of oil and keep your face matte, as this will irritate any skin type! Opt for a soap free cleanser that will simply and effectively eliminate the dirt without disturbing your body’s natural oil production.
No matter your skin type, it is important to nourish and hydrate your skin with the right ingredients. Hydration is crucial to maintain your skin’s moisture barrier and prevent it from any environmental irritations. Even if you have an acne-prone skin and feel like you’d rather not layer on any more moisture to your face, know that hydration is still important as irritated skin will have more tendency to break out.
